Font formatting

In this section, I will provide ways to format the font family, font size, font colour and to format text as bold or italic. Whenever you want to format text or cells, you first need to select the text or cell that you want it to affect. The instructions will assume you have already done that.

Font formatting

Change the font family
  1. Alt to move to the ribbon
  2. H to open the Home ribbon
  3. F F to go to the Font Family menu
  4. Either type the font name or to select a font
  5. Enter

  2. Either type the font name or say, Go down to select a font
  3. Press enter
Change the font size
  1. Alt to move to the ribbon
  2. H to open the Home ribbon
  3. F S to go to the Font Size menu
  4. Either type the font size or to select a font size
  5. Enter

  3. Press enter
Change the font colour
  1. Alt to move to the ribbon
  2. H to open the Home ribbon
  3. F C to go to the Font Colour menu
  4. to select a font colour
  5. Enter
You should be able to use Dragon commands for this but when I tested it, they didn't work. I would recommend using the keyboard method.
Make text bold Ctrl + B Bold
Make text italic Ctrl + I Italic

Format painter This isn't possible using the Format Painter but there is a workaround:
  1. Go to the cell or range with the desired formatting
  2. Ctrl + C
  3. Go to the cell or range where you want to copy that formatting
  4. Alt to move to the ribbon
  5. H to open the Home ribbon
  6. V to open the Paste menu
  7. R to paste the formatting only
  1. Go to cell [ref] (select the cell with the desired formatting)
  2. Format painter
  3. Go to cell [ref] (select the cell where you want to copy that formatting
  4. Press enter
Adjust column width
  1. Alt to move to the ribbon
  2. H to open the Home ribbon
  3. O to open the Format menu
  4. W to open the Column Width dialogue box
  5. Type in a number
  6. Enter

Adjust row height
